These are the same set of medicine balls my personal trainer uses. I LOVE them. They are bumpy rubber like a basketball and roughly the same size. The 12 & 10 lb. are about the size of a basketball, while the 8 & 6 lb. are slightly smaller, and 4 & 2 lb. just a bit smaller than that. It seems like such an easy workout but surprisingly you can really feel the workout in your core. They are NOT the same as the Weighted Fitness Ball which is about the size of a softball. My whole family uses these medicine balls, it is a great workout we can all do together.

Great medicine ball, better than any I've used at any gym or school weight room. The rubberized shell makes for a sure grip. The weight is evenly distributed. Because of these qaulities, it makes working out with it easy and fun. Best of all, it's not bad priced either. I got it with free shipping, can't beat it. Enjoy.

I purchased the Valeo 10lb medicine ball for my son who is training for basketball. This ball has a very durable rubber covering and has some bounce to it. This ball also has the same bumpy grips and dividing lines like a basketball. Plus it is the same size of an official size men's basketball. Color is also very nice.

I purchased this ball for my fiance because she wanted one as part of her workout program. She said that it's good quality, has a good grip, and works fine for certain aspects of her workout.
The only mistake I made is that this ball too heavy for some of her exercises. Obviously this isn't a reflection of the product's quality and therefore isn't included in the product's rating, but I felt pointing it out might be helpful for others considering purchase for someone else. It's great for her lifting exercises and weighted sit-ups, but a little too heavy for tossing exercises.
I'll also add what I read from other Valeo reviewers who pointed out that some of the medicine balls are actually palm sized and about the size of a softball whereas others are two-handed and a little smaller than a basketball. I felt this was an important distinction since some of the product descriptions aren't very clear. Plus, I was a bit dense regarding these types of products until I started shopping around for them.

I'm very pleased with this med ball. Great quality at a very reasonable price. I've been shopping for this item for awhile and looked at the usual online fitness product sites, at local sporting good stores as well as the "marts" before selecting this one. It was an excellent price with high quality. There's no reason to pay more.
